My grandpa was my hero. He fought cancer and beat it. When it came back, he refused to let it get him down. Family was first and he would have done anything to keep them from getting hurt. I hope I can help another family the way grandpa would have.

This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

My family lost my grandfather to cancer. While he wasn't a kid in appearance, he was certainly a kid at heart. I know that, if he had survived his cancer, he'd be fighting to help everyone.

But now it's up to us. Let's keep kids with their family until they are old and grey.
