I'm Riding For

Johnny Melo

I'm riding in memory of my friend, John Melo, who lost his battle with cancer in 2009. He was a good friend of mine and loved by all those around him. When I first met Johnny in grade 9, he was already bald from his chemotherapy, fighting a tumor in his spine. Throughout our friendship, he went through several painful surgeries and lot's of hard days. Even though I could tell he was in a lot of pain, he always had a great attitude and high spirits. He was a true friend and an inspiration for me to keep my head up and have fun, even when the odds are against you. My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
