This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada. I am a survivor of Glioblastoma Multi-Forme Grade IV a brain tumour that has a > 0.1% 5-year survival rate. I was staring death in the face, so I can appreciate what kind of a fight they are in. I made a decision to do something about it - I decided that I would put together a cycling team called The Brainiacs and do this type of thing to raise money. In 5 years we broke a million dollars and I see they are in this project so to keep the spirit alive I'm joining their fight as well.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
