My Story
The back story:
So...on July 30th a friend asked me to support her by donating to her Challenge - I did so. Then thought, I should do this. So I signed up to do 150km and raise $500. Two days later I had done 40km/$276...so I upped the ante to 300km/$1000...then a day later I decided lets go for a full $2500. Today, Aug 13, I have raised over $2000 and have 18 more days to go. I like a challenge, so $5000 it is!
LET'S GO!!
The main story:
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

17 Aug 2026Did some easy trails in back of Smokey’s bike shop. Great trails for new or mellow riders. Plus, I then did some on the other side of the road one of which went down to the ocean. DNS!!
