My Story

Hello everyone,

I'm gearing up for my third year for the Great Cycle Challenge this month of August 2025 to fight kids' cancer.

My goal this year is to pedal 400 kilometers and raise $800 in support of the SickKids Foundation. That's only $2.00/kilometer. Not bad, right!

Last year, I was also training for the RBC GranFondo Whistler event. On August 31st, the last day of the GCC challenge and a week before the GranFondo event, I was injured from a cycling accident. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days and off work for 6 months due to a compression fracture on my lower spine. Now I'm back and ready for this ride challenge again this year.

But come to think of those kids who are fighting cancer. This ride challenge is nothing compared to what these brave kids face. Currently, over 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer annually, and 4 children lose their lives every week.

So, I will do this ride challenge to help fund the battle against cancer and to give these kids the bright future they deserve.
