Why are we doing this? Firstly in memory of our son SKYLER who passed at the age of 12 in 1995 and secondly Because cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Canada – 4 children die of cancer every week.

Hello friends and colleagues

August Emmie and I are riding 75km each in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year in Canada.

I am a survivor of cancer and know first hand the fear family members have, hearing the diagnosis.

Our 75km challenge will be tough, for my 72 year-old body but it's nothing compared to what these brave kids and their families face every day of their lives as they battle this terrible disease.

We know their struggle having gone through it with our son Skyler years ago. Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.
