This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it’s the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

This cause is also deeply personal to me. I had the privilege of knowing two incredible people who were diagnosed with cancer as children, and heartbreakingly, both of them lost their battles. Seeing the impact childhood cancer has on children and their families is something I will never forget, and it’s one of the reasons this challenge means so much to me. Every child deserves the chance to grow up, chase their dreams, and live a full life.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
