This August, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to help fight childhood cancer.

As I’m expecting my own little one, this cause touches my heart in a way I never imagined. Becoming a mom has made me realize even more that no child, anywhere in the world, should have to suffer. Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, happy, loved, and full of dreams—not to spend their childhood fighting cancer.

In Canada, more than 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it’s still the leading disease-related cause of death among children.

That’s why I’m riding to raise funds for the SickKids Foundation, helping support life-saving research, better treatments, and the search for a cure.

I set my fundraising goal modestly because, honestly, I don’t know how much I’ll be able to ride and raise. But I couldn’t let this year pass without doing something. This is my way of contributing, doing my best, and standing up for these children. And who knows—maybe, with your support, we can go far beyond that goal.
