I ride for Leigh-Anne Cox, a beautiful soul from Glace Bay who lost her long, courageous battle with cancer on June 5, 2020, at just 14 years old. Leigh-Anne was kind-hearted and wise beyond her years — a Dungeons and Dragons player, an animal lover, a plant whisperer who only ever bought the ones that needed nurturing back to health. She had an infectious laugh, a smile that lit up every room, and a deep respect for the natural world she was always urging the rest of us to protect. Tae Kwon Do was her passion. Diet Pepsi (with a metal straw) was her fuel. Through three years of treatment she kept her humour, her compassion, and her belief in doing small kind things for other people. I ride so fewer families have to say goodbye too soon — and so her light keeps shining.

My Story

2 Aug 2026

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
