This year marks my 9th Great Canadian Cycle Challenge in support of kids fighting cancer. Every year, I ride because no child should have to face cancer alone.

My goal this year is 100 km, but this ride will look a little different. I'm currently deployed with the Canadian military in the Sinai Desert, Egypt, where the terrain, heat, and conditions make every kilometer a challenge of its own.

The distance may not look the same as riding back home, but every kilometer still represents hope, determination, and support for children and families facing the toughest battles of their lives.

Whether I'm riding under the Canadian sky or through the desert sands of the Sinai, the mission remains the same: to help raise funds for life-saving childhood cancer research and support programs.
