Ethan Hunter, Pearl St. Pierre, Margaret Renders, Mabel Charron, Veryan Bingham, Joe Glover, Brett,
I am dedicating this years ride for all of August in the Great Cycle Challenge to Ethan Hunter, the boy in this photo.....He attended my Daycare in the summers about 5 years ago along with his brother Mieyer and his sister Sephora who was full time with me for 3 years before she graduated to school........ Ethan's family Darryl & Shara and their children are in my thoughts and prayers. I ride for a Mom of one of my daughter's childhood best friends Margaret Renders who died recently. Her daughter Emily had a baby girl one week before she died........I am riding for Pearl St. Pierre, a friend of our families who is currently in the 2nd struggle fighting for her life. I saw her recently at a birthday gathering of my cousin and she is still smiling......that needs to keep happening!! I have still riding for all those I've loved & known including my brother Perry and my sister in law Mabel who lost her battle on 16 April 2020. I am also always riding for for all of the children in Canada who are currently in this struggle. I am riding in memory of my childhood best friend Veryan who lost her battle on August 28, 2020 just as I was in my last few days of that year's ride. .....I ride for 3 other friends who lost their fight.....Frank & Brett in 2020 and Joe lost his struggle in 2021.......... please send prayers & strength for their families......for Veryan, a mom to a daughter and a wife to the love of her life. for Mabel she is missed by many.......her husband, her 2 children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren....and for friends Frank Slavic, Brett Reaume & Joe Glover.......they are friends and are husbands, fathers & grandfathers who have lost their battle with this terrible disease......Ed & I both are riding to support all of the children in Canada who are currently in this fight for their life........as well as for the support of their families!! We hope you will help us with very worthy cause.....
My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
