I'm Riding For

Jamie

My Uncle Jamie was a very influential person in my life. In some of his final moments he shared with me the power of words by making a statement that would change the course of my life in a matter of moments. I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have his voice echoing in the back of my mind. He was very active throughout his life and was a firefighter for much of his career. He was exactly the type of person who would take part in this challenge. I miss him dearly, as I'm sure his daughter and wife do. I'm cycling in his honor and I hope to help prevent other families from losing wonderful people to this terrible disease.

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

Cass

My Challenge

    21 Aug 2024

    Oh hiiii folks.

As you may or may not know, my body has been throwing an absolute tantrum when it comes to my health this month.

We're talking hospital visits, trying to manage pain, barfin, and generally yelling at electronics (more than I usually do).

Soooo, that being said, I may not be able to keep my balance as well/keep my stamina up when biking right now, so I've included my pokemon GO adventures as part of my goal. Is that absolutely silly? Why yes, yes it is.

I hope you'll forgive me for adapting my goals for my current ability levels and for trying to make my little strolls a little more fun.

Take a walk/run/ride in my stead! For the kids. 🩷 They deserve so much good.

Thanks for reading 🩷✨ your butt is amazing, and so are you.

    Oh heeeyyy,

May have to hold off today/for a few days on the cycling. I'm back visiting the ER to solve the case of the mysterious abdominal pain ✨✨✨

Will update as I learn more. For now it's time for movies and a loooott of waiting. And potentially many Instagram memes. We'll see where the day takes us. πŸ‘€

    Much love,

    Cass

P.s. your behind biscuits are so buttery they could be used to make 30 batches of cookies. Delicious.

    8 Aug 2024

    Oh hi,

I'm smelly and soooo sweaty πŸ˜‚

    ✨ I been a sweaty girl✨🎡

But I did iittt. I have a feeling that the app didn't track my full ride πŸ˜‚ considering it took me 2 minutes to ride the same distance yesterday and today I was out for 10, I feel like there may be a discrepancy πŸ˜‚

But oh well. More cycling for the kiddos and more sweat for me πŸ˜‚ let's gooo!

I'm going to try and keep up with at least 3km every day to make the goal by the end of the month, but I might also do some longer rides to give myself more rest for later.

There's my update! Stay smelly, friends. But only if it's for SickKids (or your well-being).

    Much love,

    Cass

P.s. Your booty cheeks were carved by the gods. Every time you stand up and reveal those glorious cheeks, an angel is born.

    Okthanksbye

    7 Aug 2024

    Oh Hello there ;)

    6km down, 69km (nice) to go! πŸ₯³

What a freaking lovely day for a ride. It was 24Β°c/75Β°f and it was soooo lovely! I did my favorite thing and got lost.

I rode around some quieter trails in my city and enjoyed the trees and flowers, found some good landmarks and didn't look at my phone aside from taking a picture with some flowers and tracking my rides. No maps, no screen, just a beautiful day and a lovely ride in some new places.

Decided to take it easy for the first ride so I can hopefully go again tomorrow ☺️ looking forward to the rest of the month and putting in some work for SickKids!

    βœ¨πŸ’™βœ¨

Thanks for keeping me company on this journey πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

    Much love,

    Cass

P.s. that BOOTY be looking SO GOOD πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ big booty, small booty, medium booty, beautiful booty πŸ’™

  • OKAY WOW
    4 Aug 2024

    Dear diary:

Welp, it's day 3. I got my bike ready yesterday (aside from flat tires and a brake alignment) and the tire pump arrives tomorrow.

Chat already completed the goal and now I'm panicking a little cause there's a month left and I don't know if I should raise the goal. I'll probably raise the goal because... Kids.

Wow. I really thought 1k would be a good goal for a month. Silly me, I guess.

Anyway, these supporters are my absolute heroes and I guess I have to play Wonderwall on Monday.

    Wish me luck, diary.
