My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! My goal is 75km (but hopefully more)

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I am so thrilled to be able to participate in this activity. Two years ago I could barely walk and part of my back surgery rehab has been pedalling the rehab bike. This gives me a reason to up my training distance and help myself while also helping others.

    I had no idea how this would unfold but as it turns out … better than I dreamed

    I have met and raised and then passed my new fundraising goal. And this morning I checked my Apple Watch as I was ready to end this morning’s ride and saw that I was 3 km to my distance goal. Took a slug of water and pedalled on! Distance goal reached !!!

    I am not stopping. This is a great new habit. Thanks everyone for validating this project. I can’t wait to see where it goes
