I'm Riding For

Sarah, Zoe and Isla

When our 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia I saw first hand how cancer impacts the lives of children and their families. I am riding for her who fought the battle and survived and for Sarah Ward, Logan and Willow whose lives ended all too soon.

My Story

12 Aug 2026

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! This is the 17th year anniversary of when our daughter was diagnosed with cancer and went through that horrific ordeal. If she could go through that I can certainly go through helping to raise funds for childhood cancer. This year I am fighting my own cancer battle so I am unable to bike but my good friend Jackie Blair has offered to ride for me!

Our child survived her battle but many did not. I don't want anymore kids or families to suffer.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it, like poor Isla a girl from Mahone Bay who is in the hospital now.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
