My Story
🚴 This August, I'm taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.
Every year, more than 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer. For these children and their families, life changes in an instant. Hospital visits replace school days, treatments replace playtime, and everyday moments become extraordinary challenges. No child should have to face that.
Kids deserve to spend their days laughing with friends, exploring the world, playing their favorite sports, celebrating birthdays, and dreaming about the future, not battling cancer. 💛
That's why I'm joining thousands of riders across Canada to raise funds through the Great Cycle Challenge. My personal goal is to ride 300 km and raise $500 in support of SickKids Foundation.
Every donation, whether it's $10, $25, $50, or any amount you're comfortable giving, helps support life-saving research, develop better treatments, improve care, and bring hope to children and families facing one of life's toughest battles. While we may not be able to change every diagnosis today, together we can help create a future where more children survive and thrive. 🌟
Over the past six years, this challenge has shown me the incredible generosity of friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters. Every kilometre ridden represents hope, and every contribution reminds these families that they are not alone. 💙
If you're able, I'd be grateful if you would support my ride with a donation or by sharing my fundraising page with others. Every act of kindness, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
Together, we can help fund research, improve treatments, and give more children the chance to grow up healthy, make memories, and live the lives they deserve. 🚴
Thank you for your generosity, encouragement, and support. It truly means a great deal to me, and even more to the children and families who benefit from it. 💙

Every Kilometre Has a Purpose
14 Jul 2026Every August, thousands of cyclists ride for a reason much bigger than themselves. This year, I’m once again joining the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for children fighting cancer.
On paper, my goal is simple: ride 300 kilometres and raise $500.
But this challenge has never really been about numbers.
It’s about remembering why those numbers matter.
While I choose when to ride, children with cancer don’t get to choose their challenge. Their days are filled with hospital visits, treatments, uncertainty, and incredible courage. If riding my bike can help support research and better care, then every kilometre is worth it.
One thing I love about cycling is how it mirrors life. Some roads are smooth. Others are filled with headwinds, hills, and unexpected detours. Progress isn’t always fast, but if you keep pedalling, you eventually move forward.
That’s a lesson worth carrying beyond the bike.
This year, I also want to do something different. Along the way, I’ll be sharing reflections from my rides. Some may be about the places I discover. Others may be about perseverance, gratitude, or simply the quiet moments that happen when you’re alone on a bike with nothing but the road ahead.
My hope is that these stories remind us to slow down, appreciate the little things, and remember why supporting this cause matters.
If you’d like to follow along, I’d be grateful to have you on the journey. And if you’re able to support the cause with a donation or by sharing my fundraising page, you’ll be helping give children fighting cancer a brighter future.
Thank you for riding this journey with me. 🚴💙
