My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

My story❤️
31 Aug 2026I woke up in the middle of the night at the end of July and couldn’t go back to sleep, so I decided to scroll through Facebook.
The Great Cycle Challenge ad kept popping up. What I liked about it was that I didn’t feel pressured. There was no sign-up fee, no minimum fundraising amount, and no minimum mileage. It simply inspired me to join.
I started with a goal of $500 and 100 kms. Then $1,000 for 200 kms—and when I reached that in 48 hours, it inspired me to keep going. Then came $2,000 for 300 kms, and finally, $2,500 for 400 kms. 🚴♀️❤️
What made this journey even more meaningful was being able to do something I love while helping raise money for kids fighting cancer. Cancer has touched my life in a very personal way. My husband, Cez, died of cancer almost three years ago. Riding in his memory gave every kilometre a deeper purpose. ❤️
I also loved how welcoming the GCC community was and how everyone cheered each other on. It made my first year special.
Who knew that being awake in the middle of the night and scrolling through Facebook would lead me here? 😊
I’m truly grateful I took that little leap and joined.
