I'm Riding For
Greyson
I am pedaling to celebrate the recovery of my nephew. His joyful spirit, gentle soul, and hilarious sense of humour inspire me to find the glimmers of joy in every day. I am also riding with deep gratitude for the incredible doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff who supported Greyson and family along the way. This ride is a small way to honour the care and commitment that our health care teams provide to children and families every day.
My Story
This August, I am challenging myself to ride 200 km, over the month, as part of the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the SickKids Foundation.
I'm riding in honour of my nephew, Greyson, whose courage during his cancer treatment and the incredible strength of his Mom, Dad and sister have been a constant source of inspiration. This ride is a celebration of his recovery and the hope they continue to share.
I am also riding in memory of my dad, who passed away from cancer. His strength and resilience continue to live on in me every day.
Every kilometre I ride is dedicated to my family and friends who have had to face a cancer diagnosis and treatment. While this ride will push me beyond my comfort zone it will remind me of the determination and hope that Greyson, my dad, and countless other families have shown in the face of challenges far greater than a bike ride.
