This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
This is the reason I ride.
I lost my grandma to cancer. She was 54 when she passed, and as I embark on my 53rd birthday, I am reminded that my grandma was so sick when she was my age. The form of cancer she had is now treatable thanks to research and the many countless dollars people have given to cancer research.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Your support will change little lives.

One of the things I like to do to stay in shape, is strength train. I just find it helps in all areas of my life, including cycling.
My bike is currently in the shop undergoing some repairs and I'm hoping to hit the road soon.
Until that day, back to the gym.Posted 66 days ago
