This August, our team, Hitchens' Ride, is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I've joined this challenge as our family has had its fair share of close encounters with cancer. Thankfully, my dad is a pretty darn resilient man who has received exceptional assistance from many health care professionals. I can't even image, nor do I want to imagine, what it would be like without him here. And so, in the hopes that others won't have to struggle with this kind of loss in their lives, we hop on our bikes and ride to fight kids' cancer.
