“Dear Kiwanis Club of Timmins,
To celebrate the month, Iris has a message for you:
Kiwanis, you're INCREDIBLE!
5-year-old Iris was diagnosed with refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August 2022.
Since her diagnosis, she's endured chemotherapy, multiple infections (due to a compromised immune system from treatment) including norovirus, salmonella and rhinovirus, and a bone marrow transplant.
Now, Iris is in remission (WOOHOO)!
It's been tough, but Iris is one tough little lady.❤️”

“Merci beaucoup Gisèle! <3 More importantly, Nori thanks you. In January 2021, Nori was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. 💔 Since her diagnosis, this brave young lady has endured intensive chemotherapy, major surgery, bone marrow transplants, radiation, immunotherapy and more. At one point, Nori thought she was finally finished with her treatment, but unfortunately her cancer returned. Her treatment journey is still far from over, but recent scans indicate that the cancer is not growing or spreading. 🙏”
“Thank you Marina!! More importantly, Nolan thanks you. He is fighting a rare and aggressive form of childhood leukemia called juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia. 💔 Since his diagnosis, this brave little guy has endured multiple rounds of intensive chemotherapy, two bone marrow transplants and a heart-breaking relapse of the disease.
It's been a hard journey, but Nolan is one tough kid. 💪”
