“We're excited to introduce you to one of our very special ambassadors...Meet Chloe
12-year-old Chloe is bravely fighting rhabdomyosarcoma. ✊
In early 2025, after returning home from a month-long family holiday, Chloe noticed a small pimple-like bump on the inside of her mouth.
Though she and her family didn't know it then, that moment marked the start of her cancer journey.
Following a string of appointments and hospital admissions, with no improvement in her symptoms, Chloe was admitted to SickKids on July 28, 2025.
Further testing led to a heart-breaking diagnosis...
On August 1, 2025, Chloe was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma of the left cheek. 💔
In preparation for treatment, she underwent surgery to preserve one ovary and have a chest port placed.
Then, it was all systems go. Chloe immediately started an 18-month treatment plan involving 14 total cycles of chemotherapy.
Once 4 cycles were completed, she underwent surgery on the tumour.
Surgeons removed the tumour and tumour bed, and then performed reconstructive flap surgery to rebuild her left cheek.
Unfortunately, the post-surgery pathology results indicated that some of the tumour may have still been present, so she then underwent an additional five weeks of proton radiation treatment.
Through all the ups and downs of her cancer journey so far, Chloe has shown incredible strength and courage 🌟
This young woman is showing cancer who's boss!
Chloe continues to receive chemotherapy, and she's often in hospital as a day patient or attending clinics for chemo, blood work, and monitoring.
While she's not enrolled in a formal clinical trial, this amazing girl is also contributing to multiple research initiatives and helping advance understanding of rhabdomyosarcoma for future patients.
Chloe is smart, witty, and thoughtful. She loves nothing more than immersing herself in creative projects.
She's also a HUGE Simpsons fan and often rewatches her favourite episodes.
Chloe's cancer journey isn’t over yet, and she continues to bravely fight this disease with her family by her side. 🥰
Chloe should be living life, not fighting for it.
