#greatcyclechallengecanada
This ride is more my style. There are small hills in the beginning which I climbed a lot quicker than usual. I also pushed myself harder than usual and broke some personal best records.
These old stone churches are slowly disappearing from Northern Ontario.
First time in a group ride. I couldn’t keep up with the pack. The hills are challenging, and there were many. After 7 kilometres I had to call it quits. I knew I wasn’t going to survive 50 km with this crew. So feeling bad that I didn’t add much mileage for the children I went home and logged another 40km in familiar territory.
Lesson learned, group rides are comprised of young athletes that I can’t keep up to yet. My average speed needs to increase to at least 25km/h and I need to learn how to climb hills efficiently.
Riding in the North Bay Area
I’ve completed 132km this week. 38.5km count for the children.
I’ve surpassed $500 dollars in donations and the organization sent me this cycling jersey to promote the cause while I’m riding.
I’m hoping to increase this to 100 km or more a week by the end of this July.
