Glad to be able to do something in a small way.

August 8th

5km ride in today. Beautiful day to get outside and move your body. I do it because others can't. While they're stuck in a hospital room, I'm foung something to help. That feels good.

August 3rd

Day 3. Saturday morning, so my hubby is home. I'm not sure why I give myself permission to go farther and be away from the kids longer when he's home, but I did. I'm committed to 100km this month, but I already know that I will not be riding in the rain. So I'm logging extra kms in advance to cover those rain days just in case.

7.6 km was manageable. Surprisingly, it's my hands that felt the most discomfort. They were kind of numb in my palms for the last km or so.

Starting out this cycle challenge. I'm a little nervous. I haven't biked yet this year, so I'm going to take it easy on my first day.
