Last few days were rainy but today I got in extra to make up for it. Saw a beautiful sunset and some deer and a buck. Overall a great day on the trails! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Tonight I took a quick cruise around the city, then it turned into a bike around the park to round up to 15km. Then I got carried away and continued around the school and the park and rounded up to 20km haha always pushing that extra mile for the kids! Also great news!! I went over my set $ goal today. Thanks everyone for helping me exceed this goal!
Day 7 and 8 I had a really good bike on the path beside the river and had dinner at the midway point with my feet in the river. Day 7 I caught a pic of these two adorable doe on the path. Hope every is doing great!!
Today after work I met up with Susan and we did another massive loop of the city with some additional detours. Ended up at her beautiful garden that is growing like crazy! Thanks Susan for joining me so frequently. You are amazing at hills too!!
Tonight I decided to bike around my local school and a grass area near it. I did countless circles around both to stay close to home and to get my daily goal of 15km. Hope you all had a great day!
It was another beautiful evening. I went further than originally planned. Always having fun going down hills like my inner child would. Came home to a chunky cat on a fence. Was so impressed he was up there as it’s 6ft fence.. When there’s a will, there’s a way!
Today Susan and I had planned to bike Blackfalds to Lacombe and back to Blackfalds but the rain had other plans. So we decided to do 25km through Red Deer after the rain stopped. It was another beautiful evening and a really good push we had going up Michener Hill.
Morning cruise to work was great weather. After work had a cruise with Susan, we have planned a long trip tomorrow outside of town which I am looking forward to. After a ride with her I cycled all over the outskirts of the East and South end. Overall great weather and great company.
Started off with a morning bike to work, then another cruise with Susan to her home, then I continued to my next job. After I had a bite to eat at Co-op then headed through McKenzie Trails. So many dragonflies it was beautiful. I then headed to Bower Ponds and went a bit past to put my feet in the river to have another snack. The sun was a crazy red tonight and weather was great! Lots on my mind tonight but mainly my thoughts went out to R2 who is battling a fight of his own with cancer. Keep your head up high, I believe in you to get through it! Much love
Meg
Hi everyone and thanks for following my journey to help the battle in fighting cancer within our youth! This year I am biking less due to me leaving the country near the end of August. I am planning to bike 300km in a span of 20 days compared to the 500km in 31 days I achieved last year. Thanks to everyone who is sharing and supporting this journey!
