Jessica and I are proud to participate in the Great Cycle Challenge to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research in Canada. This year, we are riding for our brave son, Zayden Thomas the Train. Thanks to the incredible advancements in cancer research, Zayden is currently in remission and doing wonderfully. However, he still has a year and a half of maintenance chemotherapy ahead. We ride not only for Zayden but also for all the other children battling cancer, with the hope that one day, all forms of cancer will be curable.
Childhood Cancer Facts in Canada:
Childhood cancer is the most common disease-related cause of death among Canadian children.
Each year, about 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer.
The survival rate for childhood cancer has improved significantly, with over 80% of children diagnosed with cancer now surviving five years or more.
Ongoing research is crucial, as it continues to improve treatment methods and outcomes, giving hope to families across the country.
We are incredibly grateful for the support and advancements in cancer research that have made Zayden’s remission possible.
Your donations and support can help ensure that every child has the chance to overcome cancer.
