• My motivation …

I started riding for the Enbridge Alberta Ride for Cancer in 2016. I manage to complete 6 rides since then. Last year, my Aunt Rhoda celebrated her 100th birthday on the same weekend as the Alberta ride and it was too important to miss. Luckily, I came across the Great Canadian Cycle Challenge which allowed me to ride in my home community - Wabasca, Alberta - a beautiful place, by the way. Over a three week period, I rode 672 km and raised 3300 dollars. This year, I hope to do both rides and collectively raise $7500. I am a cancer survivor myself. Lung cancer and throat cancer. It’s been ten years now and I thank all of those Doctors and nurses who helped me survive. And I thank all of my donators who’ve helped me raise well over $20,000 for cancer research. You’re all heroes in my books.
