For the past 7 years, August has meant one thing to me: riding every kilometre I could to help kids fighting cancer through the Great Cycle Challenge. ❤️🚴
This year, for the first time, I won't be riding.
Making this decision has absolutely broken my heart. I've gone back and forth more times than I can count because this cause means so much to me. But life has a way of reminding us that sometimes we can't do everything, no matter how badly we want to.
I've been dealing with some ongoing health challenges, and I also have family members whose time with us is sadly becoming limited. Right now, my heart is telling me that my time needs to be spent with the people I love while I still can.
It doesn't mean I care any less about the incredible kids and families fighting cancer. It just means that, this year, I have to acknowledge my own limits.
If you've supported me over the past 7 years, thank you. Every donation, every encouraging message, every share has meant more than you know. Together we've helped make a difference, and I'm so grateful to have had you beside me.
Although I won't be riding this year, I'll still share my donation page for anyone who would like to support this amazing cause. Every dollar still helps children and families facing battles far bigger than any bike ride.
Thank you for understanding. Next year I'll be back in the saddle. ❤️
