The beauty about The Great Canadian Cycle Challenge is, the fun and support form the The Hospital for Sick Kids team, and our little patients that cheer us on early in the year. It is not a competition, and there is no pressure. It still is and will always be about the greater bigger picture: Help find a cure for cancer.
Some riders, ride unbelievable distances daily!! They fundraise in the tens of thousands and itβs truly remarkable! βThe giving from othersβ The medical professionals behind the cure for cancer depend on funding to support their research, it may take years and decades but ground breaking opportunities become available every year for our little people!!
We ride to help, to support research, and to come together as a Community.
Thank you so much for your support and generous donations!π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπΊπΊπΊπ€π€π€β€οΈβ€οΈπ¨π¦π¨π¦
I just raised $2,500 to fight kids' cancer and achieved SUPERHERO LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
It was great to cycle to my good friend, and have a visit with her and her mom in Alcona Innisfil today! I was offered a protein shake to fuel up, before the cycle home. The route to Innisil started off with a ride up the Essa Hill π±π±π±to Harvey and along Big Bay Point to the 20th side road! Did we need to take on so many hills in one ride π€π€π€well it happened thank you knees for hanging in but I did feel your protest around the 25 k mark!! The ride home was along the 20th to Big Bay, Hurst and the waterfront!
At this point I felt like I should have brought my hoodie!β (It is happening, cooler mornings and cooler night) the CNE curse!
At a beautiful 43 K we will call it a day! Home safe and what a beautiful ride!!
