Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to donate, and share my page!
I've reached and exceeded the $500 goal that I set out for, but the work is not over. I've added the final 10km to my ride goal which now sits at 250km for the month.
Trail closures, and wildfire smoke are obstacles standing in the way of the last 150 km but I will prevail!
I just raised $500 to fight kids' cancer and achieved GUARDIAN LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
Over the weekend I hit another donation milestone, topping $400. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this wonderful cause. For every $100 milestone I'm adding 10KM to my ride goal, which is now up to 240KM for the month!
While 240KM may not seem like a lot to an avid cyclist, I am continuing to keep up with my hiking and running through the month.
One minor setback I've had to endure so far is the closure of the Vedder Rotary Loop Trail in Chilliwack. The loop trail is a beautiful and scenic 20KM path that runs along both sides of the vedder river. While I still get to experience a few KMs of gorgeous scenery I'm also getting to explore Chilliwack's biking infrastructure due to the closure. The bike lanes and shared sidewalks throughout Vedder, Sardis, and Eagle Landing are great, as is the Valley Rail Trail
I've reached $300 and have updated my goal to add another 10KM for a current total of 230KM in the month of August.
I'll be adding 10KM for every $100 milestone up to $500, let's keep the donations coming!
I just raised $250 to fight kids' cancer and achieved PROTECTOR LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
