This is a statement provided by Mom (Becky Miller).

“On June 25, 2021, a trip to the emergency department revealed some devastating news that would impact not just Charlotte, but the entire family. The Emergency physician told us, “Charlotte has cancer”

Those 3 words changed everything. A series of tests had determined that in addition to blood cancer, Charlotte had a large tumor in her chest and several smaller tumors in her abdomen. Charlotte needed to go to London Children’s Hospital and Becky, John, and younger sisters Claire and Mila will be helping her fight.

After arriving in London the family was presented with a diagnosis of T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and chemotherapy began immediately.

The family spent the first nine months receiving frontline treatment in London Ontario. Charlotte is now in the ‘Maintenance” phase of treatment and her family is travelling from her home in Northern Ontario every month to receive chemotherapy.

Charlotte and her family are eternally grateful to charities like the ‘Great Cycle Challenge’. The money raised from this charity helps fund the research that saved Charlotte’s life. Please support this great cause because kids should truly be living life, not fighting for it!”

This August, Team Charlotte is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So we are raising funds through our challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support us by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

    Thank you.
