Daniel Lepage

Greetings from Philly! We are a little over half way through our time in Philadelphia and Daniel is doing well right now. He had 4 days of chemo last week which made him really sick. Thankfully he rebounded faster than anticipated. He received his last dose of T cells on Monday and handled it like a pro. We found out last week that he was approved for a drug called Keytruda (type of immunotherapy) which will hopefully help his T cells stick around longer. It is very expensive and if it works, will need an IV infusion of it every three weeks. Due to the cost SK health wants him to have it in Saskatoon so we will be able to return home as a family on April 7th so he can have the infusion at the cancer centre. He is the 9th child they have ever given this drug to so very little is know regarding its efficacy. It's been used in adults a great deal and is showing early promise in children.

My Story

24 Mar 2020

Last year for the first part of the challenge........i rode the challenge in Iqaluit-touring the " ROAD TO NOWHERE"-and I DID IT...thru gravel roads and ice fog and being chased by dogs !!!

This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.
