Bruce Amero

Bruce is my only son, he was born on July 22, 2013, with Down Syndrome, and he had a VSD (Heart, which was repaired at 6 months of age) and when he was 3 years old, on August 13, 2016, he got sick, and went into the hospital, and was diagnosed with ALL, leukemia, and spent 2yrs of treatment, and on October 19, 2018, he rang the bell at the IWK Hospital, in Halifax, stating he has finished his treatment and is cancer free, so this is our way of helping all those other children, we met along the way, and to those that lost their fight, you will never be forgotten. So please help me and Bruce reach our goals, by sponsoring us and donate, and help save the kids, Thank you.

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
