I saw ducks with babies in a pond, geese too. Antelope, pump jacks, trucks loading oil, 4 nice campsites ( missed the hail around us one night we were sheltered by trees and a cookhouse which my bike was in thankfully) and an old wagon.
Toured small towns of Castor, Hanna, Brooks ( aqueduct), Vulcan ( Star Trek town) and Lethbridge, Japanese gardens.
My husband came along with a van and checked on me occasionally and made me meals (no weight loss here!).
Back home, I have more riding to do so, short trips around the area on calm sunny days.
Rode half way to Lethbridge. I’m a bit OCD and counted refundable containers in my side of the ditch(290 in the first 70 km). 8 herds of cattle. One bunch who came over to greet me (Courtney and Ross). Day 2 , I met or was passed by 106 vehicles ( most pulled over, thank you). Then further south the winds grew stronger and I was meeting huge trucks of cattle and wind tower loads (a huge waste of taxpayers money but that’s another blog).
