Kyle Korinetz.
My nephew has been such an inspiration for me. He has spent a year fighting this disease with faith, determination and hope. His trust in his doctors and treatment has remained steadfast. I ride for him and others that have taught me that life needs us to never give up! Hope matters. ❤️
My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Cancer Sucks
12 Jun 2022This year again has been a difficult one for us. We have lost several good friends and a dear precious Aunt Helen. Glenn lost a long time friend, Darryl Helstrom to liver cancer. We lost our sweet long time friend Carol Dobrowolski to ovarian cancer. We witnessed cancer taking a wonderful, peaceful, healthy and humble colleague, Gerald Davis. Then there was my Aunt Helen who fought cancer at 93 years without a complaint. It was so very difficult to say goodbye to her. Just when I start questioning the ‘why’, our humble, active and loving nephew, Kyle shows us all how to be hopeful, have faith and be a warrior! His fight has been relentless and we now sit with the hope of a full recovery!! Science and research does make a difference and we must all do what we can to make a difference!
