Last year, while fundraising for kids' cancer research, I stated the fact that 1 in 2 Canadians would get cancer in their lifetime, so it would either be you or me.
As it turns out, it is me, as I was recently diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. It was detected early, so my prognosis is good, due to the research that has been done with funds raised before me.
But the cancer treatment journey is not always kind, and no child should have to go through it.
That is why, this August, I am riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
It will be harder this year, but my goal is to ride 500 km throughout the month, and I will be pedalling as hard as I can to reach my target.
Because right now, cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Canada – 4 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
