I'm Riding For

Braxton Weidman

Braxton Weidman

This is why I ride.    Braxton Weidman suffered a seizure in September of 2020 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor the next day. After undergoing immediate brain surgery, his parents learned that Braxton had glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive type of brain cancer.   Although Braxton is facing a tough road, he is such a fighter! He has undergone 2 brain surgeries to remove parts of the tumor.  Both times he has amazed his doctors, family, friends and supporters with his determination to dominate this treatment and beat his illness!   It goes without saying that Braxton’s family is committed and focused on providing him the best care and treatment possible.    In the month of August 2021… I ride for Braxton and many other kids fighting the disease we call CANCER.  Jarrod Russell Great Cycle Challenge

My Story

11 Feb 2021

This August, I'm riding 1,200 km in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

In 1980, at the young age of four, I was diagnosed with a canerous brain tumour

With hope, faith and determination, l battled with friends and family at my side. This fact alone does not define me, however it is an imporant part of my and the experience has helped me develop individually. I am a survivor and even though I was left with a weak right side and developed epilespsy, I am here today to share my story and to use my strenghts towards and excellent foundation.

I have a soft spot in my heart for for kids with cancer and I am determined to make my kilmetres count!
