My Story

For those of you who have been with me on this journey for the last few years, this email will be no surprise. To my new friends who are receiving this email for the first time, welcome! August is a highly anticipated month for me as it is the month of the Great Canadian Cycling Challenge; a nation-wide cycling event. Each year, over 15,000 riders commit to getting on their bikes to raise funds in support of SickKids Foundation and their goal to fund life-saving research to develop safer and more effective treatments and find cures for all childhood cancers. Over 1,700 children are diagnosed with some form of cancer each year. This number was 1,400 last year…

I am back for the 4th year in a row and have committed to cycling 1000 kilometers in the month of August. To give you some perspective, that is the approximate distance from Vancouver to Calgary. Over the last 3 years, generous supporters have donated a cumulative total of $19,640.00 (see below) in support of me and the cause. This year, I hope to add another $10,360.00 to the total and bring it to an even $30,000.00!
