My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

So the bike is ok

Sorry for the radio silence over the past few days, I had the bike checked out and even though it needs a good tune up at the end of the year, it is just fine. I had to take some time off from the ride to help out my kids and then take a course in Alberta, but I will continue when I get back home on Friday… thanks again for your support

Longest ride of my life, and I may have broke my bike😩

Well this morning I took on the challenge of White Lake around to Sorrento loop, some of the road was gravel, and now my bike is making a noise, not sure if it’s coming from the front disc brake, or my drive sprocket… will have to take it to the bike shop…. Fortunately I can use Linda’s bike to finish my ride. Here is a picture of the iconic Copper Island… thinking of all that are suffering from Cancer today 🙏🏽❤️

3rd ride White Lake loop

As I have never riden to White Lake before, I was able to soak in the beauty of this landscape including the picture of the Carlin valley. I am reminded today of all the loved ones I have lost to cancer, the ones who have beat cancer and especially the ones fighting it right now. It’s the bravery these people show that drive me in making my goal. I pray for less pain for these people today
