I moved to Canada last fall and, unfortunately, don't have a lot of friends and a circle of influence here yet. However, I will start a Master's program in biomedical engineering at UBC this September because I want to kick cancer's butt, and hopefully, this scenario will change.
My mom, four of my aunts, my grandpa, two of my uncles, my mother-in-law, and some of my friends were all affected by cancer, and I can't imagine what it is like for a kid to have to go through this. As such, I got a new bike to take part in the challenge, and despite being injured at the moment (hamstring tendonitis), I am still riding for them. Because I believe that my pain is NOTHING in comparison to theirs and because I want to show them that THEY CAN DO IT!
I am very thankful for my 12 AMAZING sponsors up to now and for being part of this movement. Let's keep riding!
